Should I Choose An Outdoor Wedding

Until now, you had heard about Outdoor Wedding plenty of times, but really did not understand what all the fuss was about.

Many brides dream of having a fairytale wedding in a picturesque location, perhaps on the beach or overlooking beautiful countryside. An outdoor wedding definitely sounds appealing and can be absolutely beautiful. If and when you decide that you are definitely going to have an outdoor wedding, there are some important things to keep in mind when making your plans.

The weather is not predictable and could turn out to be your worst enemy on your wedding day. The spring day that you envision being warm and sunny could turn out to be a rainy and cold mess. Just because you’re having a spring, summer or fall wedding doesn’t guarantee that the weather will be seasonable for that day. There is nothing worse than having a back-up plan for needing last minute changes or not being prepared properly for an outside wedding.

As we take the journey through the final part of this article, you can look back at the first part if you need any clarifications on what we have already learned.

When you are planning the wedding and have thought about what the ideal weather will be, you need to start planning a last minute plan as well. If you wake up to a rainy day, have an indoor location ready just in case. Perhaps you can have canopies or tents rented just in case. If it is uncomfortably hot and in the middle of summer, make your guests a bit more comfortable by getting married in the coolest hours of the day. Have a tent for mingling guests to remain cooler. Perhaps have bottles of cold water for guests as well. For windy days, make sure that things are secured and strapped down. You certainly don’t need things flying away in the middle of your ceremony. Somehow, that would just ruin the mood. Plus, let your hair stylist know that you need your hair to be styled accordingly for an outdoor wedding. At least then you’ll know that you wont be battling with having a bad hair day on this momentous occasion.

Being outdoors means dealing with bugs. Even on the beach, some pesky insects can find you. There are some ways to fend off bugs, and Id recommend using some of them. Candles that have citronella could be decorated and used as centerpieces or scattered around where guests will be. A bug zapper might not sound appealing, but could prove quite necessary. Though it might be difficult to ignore the sound of insect executions when exchanging vows.

Most importantly, let your guests know if it will be an outdoor wedding. That way, they can plan accordingly. They’ll dress for the weather and the occasion, which is much more ideal than having them show up and be incredibly uncomfortable. Even though your wedding day is about you and what makes you happy, remember to focus on your guests too. The more comfortable you make them feel, the happier the memories will be for them.

Over time, you will begin to understand how Outdoor Wedding really come together.
